The Triennale di Milano, born in Monza in 1923 as the I Biennale of decorative arts, from 1933 took place in Milan in the Palace of Art, designed by Giovanni Muzio and built between the Autumn of 1931 and the Spring of 1933. Conceived by the architect as a flexible container, it represents a polifunctional organism, really innovative for the time it has been designed.

Born as panoramic of decorative and modern industrial art, with the goal of stimulating the relationship between industry, productive sectors and applied art, the Triennale di Milano has soon been revealed as a mirror of the artistic and architectural culture in Italy and one of the main places of confrontation between emergingt trends. The Triennale di Milano is the italian institution for architecture, decorative and visual arts design, fashion and audio-visual production; it is a culture production center that organise conferences, exhibitions and cinematic exhibits.

The Triennale is the ideal place to cast the virtuality of the new Gallery of Urbanpromo 2015 in a dedicated and interacive space. An area in which everyone can discover the projects exhibited in the online platform, interact with them and create a real exhibition path that will be casted and shared in real time.

In the Salone d’Onore (150 seats) there will be institutional conferences and the main initiatives for the XII edition of Urbanpromo. Conferences, professional updates and seminars will take place in the Agorà room (100 seats) and the Triennale Lab (70 seats), that are equipped on purpose for video conferences and round tables. The Triennale di Milano also offer wide spaces for meeting up.

During the festival the visitors of Urbanpromo will be able to enjoy the exhibition held in the same period by the Triennale. At the ground floor, at the Caffé of the Triennale, it is possible to organise work’s breakfast. Inside the Salone d’Onore will be realised an exhibition space where it will be possible to look at the Gallery of projects exhibited in the website, and it will be possible to vote the candidate projects for the Premio Urbanistica.
