The management of the services of urban cleaning always need to face the complexity, articulation and continuous changement of the urban environment: because of that, Quadrifoglio adopted some management and administrative models in order to respond to the problem at the different level of environmental sustainability, but also economic and functional sustainability of the city.
Planning the services is an activity strictly connected to the use of city and its transformation; it is part of the quantification of the livability level of a city, together with the quality of the urban spaces and in parallel with the architecture of the places. During the design process, those models can be adopted to achieve common goals of efficiency and effectiveness, high output performance of the recycling system, social-economical compatibility and environmental sustainability. This integration should be done to find a way to identify – except for the urban and environmental analysis – several typologies of service in relation with the specific goals for every different kind of settlement.
