The Triennale di Milano, that started in Monza in 1923 as the Biennale of decorative arts, from 1933 is located in Milan in the Palace of Arts, designed by Giovanni Muzio and built in between the Autumn of 1931 and the Spring of 1933. Conceived by the designer as a flexible container, it represents a multi functional organism, innovative for the period in which it has been designed.

Born as a panoramic of decorative and industrial modern arts, with the goal of stimulating the relationship between industry, production and applied arts, the Triennale of Milan has been a stage for the artistic and architectonic culture in Italy and one of the main places of confrontation for the emerging tendencies. The Triennale di Milano is the Italian institution for architecture, decorative and visual arts, design, fashion and audio-visual production; it is a center of cultural production that organize conferences, cinematographic festival, travelling exhibitions and expositions.

The Triennale is the ideal place to show the new virtuality of the Gallery of Urbanpromo 2016 in a dedicated and interactive space. An area in which everyone will be able to be involved with the exhibited projects on the online platform, interacting with them and creating a real exhibition path that will be projected and shared in real time.

In the Salone d’Onore (150 places) the institutional conferences will take place, together with the main initiatives of the XIII edition of Urbanpromo. Conferences, formation classes and seminars will take place on the Agorà and Triennale LAB (70 places), rooms equipped on purpose with technical instruments for video conferences and round table of discussion. The Triennale di Milano offers big meeting spaces.

During the festival the visitors of Urbanpromo will be able to visit all the exhibitions in place during the same period. On the ground floor, in the Café of the Triennale, it is possible to organize breakfast of work. Inside the Salone d’Onore will be realized an exhibition space where it will be possible to explore the gallery of the projects exposed in the website online and it will be possible to vote the projects candidates for the Premio Urbanistica.
