The project involves 10 Municipalities of the Teramo province for a population of 182.811 inhabitants: Martinsicuro, Giulianova, Roseto, Pineto, Atri (along the Adriatic coast), Mosciano, Bellante e Castellalto (along the Val Tordino); Teramo (as leader). The identified territory is interested by the main axys of mobility of the province of Teramo, which are the highways A14-A24. The project is intended for students and workers in their commuting between home and the nodes of the network of the public transportation (train and bus stations) where will be realize a number of “bike station”, to reach the university, school institutes and work locations by bike.
The initiative consider for every student/worker/biker an incentive for every Km. The Km done will be registered electronically by a TAG located on the bike property of the student/worker that made the request. Through the APP linked with the TAG the Km done will be registered. This system will be useful also against thieves, in case of accident and to monitor the fluxes of mobility for a better planning of the road infrastructure.
The predict initiatives are:
- FIAB initiative of “pedi bus” and “bike/bus” for children and teen agers of the lower schools, together with school excursions
- classes of Mobility Management for technicians in the Municipality and people working in the schools
- 30 events on the territory to increase the sensibility about the use of the bike
