Sportium, the Italian company that brings together all the competencies of MANICA Architecture and Project CMR for the realization of sports facilities of excellence at a global level, presented in 2019 the master plan for the realization of “The Rings of Milan”, the area where the new stadium of the city will be built. Recently, the Stadium has been included among the works of public interest of Milan.
Two rings representing the fans of Inter and Milan, a hi-tech facility that breathes, with facades marked by images of the faces of 16,000 fans and an appearance that changes according to weather conditions and the events hosted.
A stadium project capable of ensuring the best sports and entertainment experience for fans, in line with international best practices and at the same time providing residents with a requalified urban area. Sportium has developed a master plan that has paid particular attention to the connection of this area with the San Siro district and the city; Gli Anelli di Milano is a real regeneration project, designed so that it can be used in all periods of the year, providing spaces and services for the community.
The new Stadium will become a destination for citizens and a place of sporting experience and entertainment, of meeting for people. A new square in which there will be spaces for shopping, leisure, museums of the teams and new places for working. The park, which will cover 22 thousand square meters in the shape of a “third ring”, will create a large welcoming and attractive area with the presence of spectacular water effects, an outdoor green theater, suspended walkways and playgrounds for many sports disciplines.
