The experience of Treviso concerns an important administrative goal resulting from the participation in the ministerial call for applications on the “Quality of Living” that will allow the redevelopment of some areas not integrated with the current urban development. This need has become even more urgent after the pandemic period that we have experienced and that we are still facing.

The project proposal presented, in collaboration with A.T.E.R., has taken the opportunity to operate the urban and social regeneration in the district of San Liberale, which today needs a reconnection with the surrounding areas and the historical center.

The project called “Treviso, San Liberale: Inhabited Park”, has developed issues that aim to increase the housing supply, the non-consumption of land, the reduction of environmental emissions, the removal of architectural barriers, eco-sustainability, including interventions to increase green areas and reduction of paved areas in favor of a greater permeability of the soil.

Goals that will be achieved through actions on both existing public housing and innovative Social Housing, with the aim of activate the process of reuse and social mixitè.

Another important goal will be the enhancement of the central identity space of the district, through the inclusion of services that will operate as social catalysts for both citizens and key stakeholders, together with the insertion of new connections with the aim of creating a network of proximity (network of 15 minutes) connected with a matrix of parallel slow mobility, aimed at joining the projects with the territorial entities present in the urban fabric and the historic center, using renewed protected and sustainable paths.

For San Liberale we proceeded to a participatory design to invest concretely in the potential of the community and spaces, by means of sustainability strategies aimed at the pursuit of public health and intended to promote, in a synergistic way, the regeneration of the neighborhood that can aspire in a short time, to be renewed and resilient.
