In the relationship between universal accessibility and territories, relations aimed at improving social inclusion and the efficiency of tourism-cultural chains are able to support vitality and well-being.
In this direction, the actions of Unioncamere Nazionale and 21 Italian Chambers of Commerce, Mirabilia Network, are developing with increasing effectiveness to link and enhance areas of great historical, cultural and environmental importance, and characterized by the presence of UNESCO – World Heritage sites.
Through expert insights and illustrations of significant experiences in Italy, the initiative aims to deepen themes that act in close relationship define the qualities of living within which generates the well-being of people. To achieve this goal, the meeting is structured with specific moments of in-depth discussion and discussion on universal accessibility that are oriented and developed by the INU Community “Cities accessible to all”, active since 2016 as an “open” space The European Commission has published a report on the European Union’s research and development programme.
The basis of the comparison is the conviction that we must go beyond the logic of individual interventions to improve accessibility and start integrated processes aimed at positively acting on the elimination of physical, perceptive, sensory barriers, intellectual, social, economic and cultural factors that limit people’s access to urban functioning.
The initiative, which is requested from professional bodies, will issue training credits.
The meeting will conclude with the award ceremony of the 2024 Accessible Cities Prize promoted by INU-URBIT with the support of Mirabilia Network and Chamber of Commerce of Genoa and the collaboration of Minister for Disability, Ministry of Culture, National Research Council, Cerpa Italia Onlus and Urbanistica Information.
