The iGeneration Fund is dedicated to the development of affordable student living in Italy, with the aim of helping to bridge the gap between demand and supply in professionally managed university housing.
The Fund aims to create a network of sustainable and innovative university residences, with over 2500 beds in this first round, alongside common spaces for residencies and coworking and community spaces.
An objective made possible by the synergistic intervention between national investors, with CDP Real asset in the role of corner investor through the Fondo Nazionale dell’Abitare Sociale (FNAS), supranational investors and territorial investors such as Foundations of banking origin.
The iGeneration Fund aims to pursue a socially responsible and sustainable investment strategy, in line with art. 8 of EU Regulation 2019/2088 27.11.2019 (SFDR).
The first student house of the fund will be built in Naples. The property has a total area of more than 15,000 square meters and is connected to all local university locations by virtue of its strategic location in via Ferraris 4, near the Central Station.
Its renovation is part of the larger urban regeneration plan that concerns the entire eastern quadrant of the city: and it plans to complete the transformation work on the property by May 2025.
The concept includes the construction of an urban resort, consisting of more than 353 rooms equipped with innovative technological infrastructures for about 500 beds and dedicated mainly to university users and, In a secondary way, to city users and young professionals in the light of the presence of a short term component (hotel and hostel).
The structure will be equipped with common spaces to serve the residential users as well as executive spaces, reserved for structured coworking activities.
