With the interventions financed under the so-called Urban Plan (call issued by DPCM of 25 May 2016) and partly with the Community funds of the Urban Agenda, the districts surrounding the Fontivegge station area have undergone a major urban regeneration project, which is visible today, because all the measures envisaged in the proposal which is eligible for financing by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers have been implemented or are being completed.
The ingredients of the program are quite simple: intervene on the places of degradation to bring excellent functions and activities where abandonment and the perception of insecurity, Integrate social activities with the restoration and upgrading of public spaces, improve the provision of public services and accessibility to urban places.

A set of interventions, therefore, small and medium size feasible, concentrated in a limited urban area, integrated with each other and from different sources of finance, aimed at achieving a visible and real work of urban requalification/ regeneration. The entire front of the Fontivegge station has been redeveloped, quality functions have been added where there were abandoned buildings (a library, a school, a house for artists, a new neighbourhood house), the green areas have been redeveloped and strongly enhanced, all with a particular focus on the theme of accessibility. In this regard, thanks to the funds provided for studies and research within the framework of the Plan suburbs, a plan for the elimination of architectural barriers extended to the entire scope of intervention has been drawn up. The editorial staff of Peba went hand in hand with the planning and implementation of the various public works, a fact that allowed to “implement” part of Peba during the development of the regeneration programme of the district of Fontivegge. The rest of Peba, which is conceived as a “network of interventions” programmable over time, will have to be financed year by year with resources from the municipal budget.
