AN EU URBAN AGENDA, AN “INLAND AREAS” NATIONAL STRATEGY, INTEGRATED PROGRAMS FOR URBAN DEVELOPMENT

Urban policies in the Umbria Region. Continuity and discontinuity : tools to comparison

The Umbria Region suggests a comparison of urban policies implemented in recent years, through the Integrated Urban Development Program. The latest implemented programs are the Urban Complex Programs (PUC2) and the Integrated Programs for Urban Development, arranged by a partnership of many municipalities. With the new programming of EU funds 2014-2020, the Umbria Region presents these policies through the Urban Agenda and the “Inland areas” national strategy .

These tools are coded in the regional programming document entitled “Regional Strategic Framework 2014-2020”. The presentation of these tools focuses on the aspects of continuity and discontinuity with the previous programming tools for cities. In fact, we compare the Urban Complex Programs (PUC2) with the Urban Agenda and the Program of Integrated Urban Development (PUC3) with the “Inland areas” national strategy .
