The project “AUT AUT – Autonomia Autismo” promoted by Fondazione Carispezia wants to favor the social inclusion of people affected by autism, that are living in the province of La Spezia, in the field of touristic services, with the possibility of extending this to guests affected by the same disability and their families coming from all over the country. The project foresee the realization of two structures managed mainly by autistic person, together with volunteers and specialized operators. All this to be done in collaboration with the association A.G.A.P.O. and Fondazione domain per l’autismo.
The inn, named “Vivere la vita”, is under construction on plots acquired from the dismissing of Arpa-Liguria, and will be composed by structures and green spaces for productive, retail, receptive and management activities. The intervention will regenerate the suburb area of via Fontevivo alla Spezia, integrating itself with other projects and structures, like the Rehabilitative Center of the Levante Ligure, also realized by the same Foundation.
Three volumes on three storeys compose the complex, which faces hanging gardens linked by a vertical elevator and stairs. The different functions of the space are reflected in the architectural different composition of the spaces and the materials used (wood, plaster and colored concrete), while the physical separation of the volumes grants a good seismic response of the complex, which technologies can cover up to the 50% of the energetic need.
In the space of the complex there will be: a restaurant; an hotel with 10 rooms watching the sea; an area for laboratories for production and selling of fresh and dried pasta; housing places reserved to host young adult people affected by autism and their families, in 5 rooms connected with common areas
