The pandemic lockdown has stimulated profound reflections on the home issue both in the dimension of social infrastructure and in living in proximity to the so-called “city of 15 minutes”.
The Tuscany Region, also taking advantage of the debate raised in this regard at national level, through the Housing Toscano Fund, managed by InvestiRE Sgr and participated among others by the Investment Fund for Living managed by CDP Immobiliare Sgr, has promoted a competition of ideas aimed at stimulating the search for new “post-pandemic” housing models.
The competition was open to professional architecture and / or engineering firms with the aim of identifying innovative technical / architectural solutions which, interacting with self-managed residential services or with the support of specialized subjects of the Third Sector, are aimed at encouraging a new quality of collaborative living that takes into account the criticalities that have emerged in the current urban-building system following the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19 and to promote a “post pandemic” housing model based on an architectural design of innovative residential models more integrated with technology and collaborative service formulas to improve social cohesion and quality of life.
Participants in the competition faced, in a coordinated and integrated manner, issues such as technological and typological innovation, enhancing parameters such as accessibility and flexibility of spaces, as well as new ways of providing services to the residence, but above all the connection with the urban space. and the enhancement of interrelationships with the external environment, introducing formulas of collaborative services to promote social cohesion and the quality of life of citizens. The contribution of the Third Sector is also valuable, contributing to the proposed solution, also making clear the ability to add value in the management phase.
