A former Molino located in a valuable part of the urban fabric regenerates to build homes for rent to buy and for sale with a share of Social Housing Flexible housing, close to the city center aimed at a target market of young people, students and workers moving into the city, also aimed at people of more mature age not only single but entire families.
The new needs of living have changed the distribution of the spaces of the house and the spaces around it.
In the intervention, the buildings define a new urban square and a garden overlooks the walls of the historic center of Viterbo. A small pedestrian and cycling boulevard crosses the area and provides a new and convenient connection between the two railway stations and the nearby facilities of the DEIM Department of Economics, Engineering, Society, Enterprise, UNITUS, University of Tuscia in Via Palmanova. A vertical junction is also placed at the service of the two floors of underground parking with entrance from Via della Ferrovia.
For the Urban Regeneration of the Molino Living, in accordance with the P.R.G and in agreement with the Municipal Administration, the instrument of the Building Permit Agreement has been identified, where the City has requested the realization on site of the equipment of urban standards, adequate energy performance and a share of housing in social housing not less than 20%.
The Società Molino Medori s.r.l. promoter of the initiative presented to the Municipality of Viterbo the planivolumetrico project and the convention scheme, accompanied by an exemplary architectural project in accordance with the planivolumetrico project. It is next the formal approval of the City Council and then proceed to the final plans for the release of the Building Permit.
