For the drafting of the Structural Plan (PS) of the Municipality of Barberino Tavarnelle, the municipal administration has established an institutional collaboration with the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence. In this way, within the Third Mission, the University comes into contact with society, alongside the traditional teaching and research missions.
The institutional collaboration with the Regional Design Laboratory (Department of Architecture) has led to the realization of thematic seminars and scientific support for the drafting of the Plan.
The support provided for the PS was articulated: in the construction of the municipal knowledge framework, in the preparation of preliminary analyses to identify the territorial heritage, The definition of a methodology for the identification of sustainable development strategies and, finally, support to the construction of the participatory process.
