URBANPROMO IS…

Urbanpromo – Projects for the Country is the cultural event of reference on the great theme of urban regeneration, understood as a process of strategies, policies, actions, aimed at achieving sustainable urban development.

Urbanpromo is the privileged place for:

learn about and make known projects and experiences with innovative content;
understand the peculiarities of new approaches to urban planning, real estate and social issues in the urban context;
create the premises for public-private partnership investment projects;
establish relations with representatives of public administrations, private companies, universities and research institutes, professional firms.
offer the possibility of an advanced update to administrators, economic operators, professionals, researchers on the most relevant issues on the Italian and international scene.

Through an intense programme of online and face-to-face conferences, an exhibition of projects, and a number of publications with national distribution, Urbanpromo addresses the key issues of urban regeneration in a transversal manner: the activation of investments through public-private partnerships, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, the valorisation of real estate assets, social housing, private financing of public works, property taxation, and the outlook for the real estate market.

Urbanpromo is divided into four themes: ‘Urbanpromo City’, ‘Urbanpromo Social Housing’, ‘Urbanpromo Green’ and ‘Urbanpromo Digital’.

The construction of the cultural programme takes place through two lines of work. On the one hand, a technical-scientific committee made up of representatives from INU/Urbit, Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT and CDP Investimenti, defines the initiatives of common interest including ‘Urbanpromo Social Housing’. On the other hand, a similar body, entirely composed of INU members, identifies and develops further topical issues, making use of the research and monitoring activities carried out by the Institute at national level. The programme of ‘Urbanpromo Green’ is set up by a joint working group of INU and the Iuav University of Venice.
