The history of the building that hosts Urbanpromo dates back to the end of the 17th century. The palace, designed by the architect Giovan Battista Foggini at the request of Grand Duke Cosimo III de’ Medici, was built in 1695 as the Granary of Abundance to store grain for the city in times of famine.
