Since 2016, INU (National Institute of Urban Planning), together with leading organizations, has been involved in the Accessible Cities for All Community. In 2020, it established the Accessible Cities for All Award, which is awarded through an INU-URBIT (Urbanistica Italiana srl) competition.
This seventh edition is open to innovative work on universal accessibility and social inclusion carried out in Italy or abroad between April 1, 2024, and October 5, 2026, in the context of undergraduate, graduate, and master’s theses, as well as research and studies in any discipline, both in Italy and abroad.
The € 10,000 prize fund is supported by: the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, the CRA (Regional Accessibility Center) -Tuscany Region, and the Human Habitat Foundation.
Collaborators on the Award include: CNR (National Research Council), CERPA Italia ETS, GuDesign Network, and Urbanistica Informazioni.
