Palazzo Vecchio

It is the city’s symbolic monument and, for over seven centuries, the seat of its government. Palazzo Vecchio bears extraordinary testimony to all the salient phases of Florence’s history and art.
From the remains of the Roman theatre preserved underground, we move on to the sumptuous rooms of the monumental quarters decorated by famous artists of the 15th and 16th centuries, and finally to the spectacular panoramic views of the patrol walkway and tower. Among the masterpieces in the building are Donatello’s Judith, Bronzino’s paintings in the Eleonora Chapel and Michelangelo’s Genius of Victory
