The conference aims to encourage the sharing of experiences, new initiatives, proposals, for sustainable and balanced tourism development of the national territory. The work of the conference is organized in two parts.

The first (“Industry sites: new tourism destinations”) starts from the awareness that tourism has a great capacity to generate economic, social and cultural development. It therefore documents the varied commitment that the Ministry – and a plurality of public and private entities – are deploying to ensure that tourism can become a factor of economic vitality and a tool for valorising the extraordinary heritage of environmental and cultural resources spread throughout the national territory.

The good practices which, along this line of collective commitment, are presented mainly concern the places where the symbiosis between industry and architecture, between technology and art, has led to the formation of identity assets, which thanks to their tourist use spread in the territory of belonging opportunities for economic, social and cultural development.
