“Milan 2035 – Youth Housing Coalition” is a project co-financed by Fondazione Cariplo within the Welfare in Action program. The coalition aims to expand the housing offer dedicated to young people and support solidarity networks in the neighbourhoods of the metropolitan city of Milan, in order to promote a new model of urban living. The leader is Fondazione DAR Cesare Scarponi onlus, which coordinates a network of 32 public and private bodies: Foundations, Associations and Cooperatives – including DAR = CASA, Bicocca University and Milan Polytechnic, Lombardy Region, Municipality of Milan and Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo.
Milan 2035 works to systematize projects dedicated to the target and build a more solidary city, starting from the housing dimension as a lever for the development of a new territorial welfare. It also contributes to the development of a culture of youth living, a subject now almost completely absent from public policies.
