Rione Fossi Shell

Accadìa is a town of about 2,236 inhabitants that lies is located in the vast southern Dauno Subappennines, in the province of Foggia.
In 1930 Accadìa was destroyed by a tremendous earthquake that condemned it to become one of the many “Ghost Villages,” over time gradually forced among the trees of the beautiful neighboring forests that stretch all the way to the Tavoliere.

Rione Fossi has deferred to the new Acadìa the extension to the territory’s directories. Yet, the mysterious Acca Dea and the legend of the Dardans, continue to hover in the patterns concentric patterns of the ancient ruined fabric, around the ruins of the Chiesa Matrice, with the remains of…

Metropolitan Network for Knowledge: Greater Bologna

The Metropolitan City of Bologna has selected, among the projects put forward by the Municipalities and Unions of Municipalities, four proposals, characterised by a broad metropolitan relevance and aimed at achieving the strategic objectives outlined in the programming and planning tools that the Città Metropolitana has adopted in recent years, namely: the ecological transition and the fight against climate change; the reduction of inequalities and fragilities; and the enhancement and development of the knowledge and research system.

In order to take full advantage of the great opportunity offered by the PNRR resources and the European, national, regional and local development…

THE EXTENSION OF EVALUATIVE PRACTICES: THE DNSH PRINCIPLE

Markus Hedorfer, Alessandro Calzavara, ASSURB

The legislation on the European Taxonomy of Environmentally Sustainable Activities – set forth in Article 17 of Regulation (EU) 2020/852 – identifies criteria for determining how each economic activity contributes substantially to the protection of the ecosystem, without causing “significant harm” (Do No Significant Harm) to the six environmental objectives covered by the same Regulation. The DNSH principle was also placed at the basis of the NRP and the Next Generation EU, the measures put in place by the European Union to stimulate recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is terminology that has come…

THE URBAN PLAN OF CITIES AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION THROUGH PNRR CALLS: OPPORTUNITIES AND CRITICALITIES

Carlo Alberto Barbieri, Carolina Giaimo, Gianni Biagi, INU – URBIT

The conference aims to analyze the state for synergy and possible criticalities between urban planning in force, or in the process of renewal, and the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan in several Italian cities.

The resources that have been put into place by the NRP are indeed a strong incentive for the implementation of a General Urban Plan, but they can also represent a dissenting element in absence of a more appropriate and often necessary careful management of the Plan itself.

Through an initial assessment of…

AFTER THIRTY YEARS. ACQUISITION OF MEANING OF METROPOLITAN CITIES

Vittoria Crisostomi, INU – URBIT

Through the multiple-entry method and a transversal scaffolding, designed to counteract aspects that hinder development, the NRP has highlighted two essential issues of urban planning:

  1. The identification of specific themes and territories, that were recalled within diverse calls for grants with respect to different territorial configurations (as declining hamlets, centers with at least 15000 inhabitants, cities), different ways of living (social housing of PinQua, social regeneration, quality of life and settlements), as well as different references to economic functions (tourism, services, and infrastructure, agriculture, sports). The practice of allocating calls precisely to those institutions that…

URBANPROMO SOCIAL HOUSING: FOURTH SESSION

The Technical – Scientific Commitee of Social Housing

The fourth session also consists of two modules. The first aims to raise awareness of the complementarities being established between the lines of action of banking foundations and the funding opportunities opened up by the NRP.
Since their establishment, banking foundations have been one of the driving forces behind the social, cultural and economic development of cities. They move in a context in which there are other institutional actors that have their own resources, or those derived from European funding, as significant as those of the PNRR. Important questions therefore arise: what…

URBANPROMO SOCIAL HOUSING: THIRD SESSION

The Technical – Scientific Commitee of Social Housing

The third session is divided into two modules. The first provides an overall picture of the investments being made thanks to the resources of the PNRR and the Community programming: this is the basic information that underlies the individual projects studied in Urbanpromo. The second module will compare the Italian experience to the European one. Following the participation of France and the United Kingdom as guests in previous editions of Urbanpromo, this year will feature representation from Germany. The German housing system, which focuses on rentals, examines social solutions,…
