Paolo Testa, Head of Urban Planning and Urban Regeneration, Confcommercio-Imprese for Italy
The meeting aims to provide a frame of reference of European policies for cities – starting from the initiatives contained in the Cohesion Policy and the interventions provided for by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – to investigate the guidelines and impacts on local economies and enhance the contributions from the world of urban economy.
For this reason, the dialogue between representatives – national and local – of Confcommercio-Imprese for Italy, representatives of municipal administrations and European design experts will be encouraged. On the one hand, therefore, we will discuss the role of companies in the tertiary market in the definition and participation in European strategies of economic and urban development while, on the other hand, some local experiences will be illustrated where the local economy has represented the transformation lever of the built environment. the encounter will be also the occasion for an update on the plan cities – City and Tertiary: Innovation Economy and Sociality, the distance of Confcommercio-Companies for Italy that considers cities as laboratories of change and is proposed as a multidisciplinary knowledge platform to improve urban centers and support urban economies.
