Regeneration has now become the fundamental tool for implementing the transformation of territories and cities.

It is a powerful and mature process, structured by a very advanced theoretical framework, integrated by grafts of various interdisciplinary origins which enrich its ability to adapt to different places and contexts and increase its degree of processing refinement.

Our Pese now records in almost all Regional Laws for the Government of the Territory the presence of Regeneration as the cornerstone of the regulatory system, often associated with the symmetrical arrangement constituted by the reduction/zeroing of land consumption, both aimed at configuring territories and cities that face change without expanding anymore but reworking within their limits.

For years, the National Institute of Urban Planning, through the annual review of Urbanpromo, has been committed to tracing and surveying the most interesting cases of Regeneration with special attention to the use of culture, in its various forms and activities, as a crucial factor for their success.

Urbanistica Informazioni collects, year after year, exposition of cases, interventions, essays, articles in a continuous “capitalization of knowledge” so as not to waste such an important wealth of knowledge and to build a reference platform for the future.
