Social Housing

Room Giovanni Astengo 06 November 2024 11:45/13:30

Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT

Bianca Viarizzo and Anna Rabbia, Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT

As every year, Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT curates an in-depth look at urban regeneration policies, with a focus on social housing and community empowerment, in European countries, with the participation of leading organizations and institutions there.

This year Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will be the host countries. The distinctive features of this extraordinary island will be examined in the context of inclusivity and the transfer of knowledge and heritage from one generation to the next, starting with policies on housing. The Irish territory and its vibrant population will be represented in their insular integrity, to capture their richness and extraordinary capacity to re-establish ties, respecting the identity of places and traditions. It will also be an opportunity to get a preview of the International Social Housing Festival to be held in Dublin in June 2025, at the initiative of Housing Europe.

“Ireland: a model of collaborative living that balances innovation with preservation of architectural, cultural and environmental heritage”
