Data is the key to building truly effective sustainable development strategies.
Through sustainability indicators, it is possible to understand the impact tourism has on local territories, economies, and communities, thus guiding decisions towards more responsible and informed models.
In this direction, Isnart designed the Stendhal platform that integrates the Sustainability tool, an innovative tool for measuring and interpreting these indicators, offering concrete support to those responsible for strategic territorial planning.
At a time when motivation “culture” has been the leading driver of vacation choices in Italy for the fourth consecutive year, Sustainability can play an essential role in analyzing the UNESCO territories participating in the Mirabilia Special Project to monitor their tourist carrying capacity and thus plan interventions to protect the destination’s value.
What is Mirabilia?
Mirabilia is the project of Unioncamere and 21 Chambers of Commerce to enhance the tourist destinations in which UNESCO sites fall, with the aim of promoting the development of sustainable, cultural, widespread and innovative tourism.
With project coordination from Isnart, the project aims to weld local culture, businesses and excellence through training, networking and events aimed at creating new market opportunities for tourism businesses and agri-food excellence.
