The meeting aims to bring to Urbanpromo the debate that emerged from the series of meetings “La stagione degli Urban Center” (“The Urban Center Season”) and the publication “Governo urbano e conoscenza pubblica: il percorso degli Urban Center” (“Urban Governance and Public Knowledge: The Urban Center Journey”), developed by Avanzi – Sostenibilità Per Azioni in collaboration with Fondazione IU Rusconi-Ghigi and Urban Lab Torino.
The main objective is to initiate a structured dialogue among representatives of Italian Urban Centers, including both those who contributed to the publication and emerging organizations. The discussion will focus on their operational models, their ability to influence urban policies, and the agenda of responsibilities and challenges they face today, particularly in relation to structural issues such as major investments that shape their functions and long-term sustainability, as well as the growing need for integrated public knowledge.
