The project is part of regional policies aimed at the implementation of a network of ecological mobility and enhancement of nature sites. The Municipality of Magione has developed an integrated project in order to take advantage of the various opportunities offered by the Structural and National Funds for actions consistent with these objectives.
The study has identified the main natural and cultural attractions, where Lake Trasimeno is the main element of naturalness and attractiveness to which to integrate the fortified system of Towers and Castles, the system of sustainable mobility routes, the system of open spaces with a low degree of use and in need of landscape qualification to make them more accessible and accessible. The project is part of the wider framework of cycling in Lake Trasimeno and is a contribution to the territory in terms of integration between policies on active mobility, tourist attractiveness and the enhancement of material and intangible heritage.
