The Strategic Plan is a deal between the public administration, the citizens and all those who have interests in the matter, that in this way assume the responsibility of what happens in the planning process. For its definition the Municipality of Ancona, together with the Autorità di Sistema Portuale, the Camera di Commercio and the Polytechnic University of Marche, activated a participative process that lasted two years, collecting all the resources of the territory.
What emerged is that most of the desires of the citizens focus in the line that stands between land and sea, together with the main changement of the city and the most important planning effort already financed and activated.
Five are the main “rooms” that are located along that line:
- Lungomare Nord
- From the Palombella to the Archi
- The Mole
- The pedestrian path from sea to sea
- Porto Antico and the ITI Waterfront
In the temporary horizon of the Strategic Plan, those will be the projects able to reconnect the sea and the land, enhancing the beauty of the city, regenerating the entire community.
