Blades of light favors the perception of slips of the pavement and the reading of the fascinating symbols engraved on stone slabs; geometric and metaphysicians games, light (truth) and shadow (mystery), communicate to the visitor all the beauty, the power, the prophecy of Leonardo’s science. The crossing of the square, more than mere spatial displacement, becomes a jump in the inner world, a journey back to the discovery of the intimate and emotional message encrypted in the intervention. Sophisticated technologies completely hidden from view and perfectly integrated in the architecture and in the pavement of the square minimize energy consumption by ensuring respect for principles such as energy conservation and environmental sustainability. The square has become a strong traffic generator, especially in the evening, to enjoy the beauty of Paladino’s work under a new light.
